Takeo Province: Forte Insurance (Cambodia) Plc and Forte Life Assurance (Cambodia) Plc. has partnered with Chea Sim High School at Takeo province on a tree planting initiative held on Saturday 16 July to contribute towards creating a sustainable future.
Over 100 Forte Insurance and Forte Life employees volunteered for the event, working with Chea Sim High School students to plant 200 trees in the vicinity of their school, as well as presenting a donation of school stationery to all students. The event, which was themed ‘Beautiful Life’, was presided over by His Excellency Bou Chanphirou, Director General of the Insurance Regulator of Cambodia (IRC) and Dr. Hor Sovathana Deputy Director of Insurance Contractors Cambodia.
Mr. Chamroeunrith Youk, Group CEO of Forte and Group Chairman of Forte Life, said, "Giving back and contributing to the communities we live in is crucial to us at Forte Insurance and Forte Life. It is important to educate the young generation in Cambodia about the importance of caring for the environment, to tackle the challenge of global climate change. Together, we can make a difference."
This tree planting initiative serves as an opportunity to emphasise Forte’s commitment to a sustainable future in the region and inspire action to contribute to the cause.
Since its founding in 1999, Forte has organized various CSR initiatives, including cooperating with Japanese NGO OISCA International to sponsor various green projects and develop human resources in agriculture, organizing the Children’s Forest Program to encourage students to realize the importance of a sustainable environment via tree-planting campaigns, initiating a road safety campaign, and partnering with NGO JCI Cambodia-Mekong to donate 1,000 helmets to students and motorcyclists.
