Tharong has over 17 years’ professional experience in the insurance industry. He started his career with Forte in 2005 and rose up the ranks in the Underwriting department, gaining expertise in sales, underwriting, reinsurance management, channel distribution management such as agents, brokers and banks, as well as other related tasks on risk control, loss control and more.
Tharong plays a key role in spearheading Forte’s work in agriculture insurance and mitigating the effects of climate change. He has collaborated with both public and private sectors to bring innovation through pilot tests on crop insurance such as Weather Index Crop Insurance (WICI), Soil Moisture Index and Area Yield Index. He also actively engages the agricultural community in Cambodia by presenting provincial dissemination workshops under the Climate Resilient Rice Commercialization Sector Development Program (Rice-SDP). He is a member of the Agricultural Insurance Working Group under ASEAN Natural Disaster Research Works Sharing Committee (ANDREWS).
Tharong holds a Master of Finance (MBA) from Charles Sturt University, Australia. He also has an Associateship (AMII) by Malaysian Insurance Institute and an Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) from the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK. He was also awarded Winner – Young ASEAN Insurance Manager Award in 2021 and recently appointed Chairman of the 13th ASEAN Insurance Congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Vannary Meng is Assistant Vice President - Head of Accident & Health department and Head of Miscellaneous department at Forte General Insurance. Vannary’s responsibilities include managing underwriting, claims, filing and data processing for Accident & Health and Miscellaneous lines, as well as new product development. She joined Forte in 2006 as an Executive Trainee and has since risen through the ranks as an MIS Executive in the Management Information Systems department, Manager - Specialist Lines department and Assistant Vice President - Head of Underwriting department. She is also a Country Coordinator for OISCA Cambodia as part of Forte’s CSR programme.
Vannary holds Chartered Insurer status by Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), UK; Master of Business in Finance from Charles Sturt University, Australia; Postgraduate Diploma in Business from the Economics and Finance Institute of MOEF, Cambodia; Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII), UK and BSc in Computer Science from Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP), Cambodia. She was also awarded an Associateship (AMII) and Best Student of the Year by Malaysian Insurance Institute.
Ratanak Kheang is Assistant Vice President - Head of Auto department at Forte. Ratanak manages the underwriting and claims of the Auto portfolio as well as new product development. He is driven to provide innovative customer-focused and customized products, flexibility on claim settlement, good customer satisfaction and lead the growth of Forte’s Auto insurance portfolio. Prior to joining Forte in 2012, he was an Auditor at PwC Cambodia and Assistant to Financial Controller in TOLL (Cambodia) Co., Ltd.
Ratanak is a recipient of the prestigious AYIM Excellence Award 2022 for the 13th ASEAN School for Young Insurance Managers organized by Singapore College of Insurance. He holds a Master of Finance and BBA in Accounting from National University of Management (NUM), Cambodia, and BEd from Institute of Foreign Languages (IFL), Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP), Cambodia.
Heng Roatmonea (Monea) is Assistant Vice President and Head of Property, Engineering and Marine department at Forte General Insurance. With over 17 years’ experience and technical expertise in the insurance industry, Monea manages the underwriting and claims of the Property, Engineering and Marine portfolio including aviation insurance.
Monea first started her insurance career in Forte in 2005 as an Executive in Underwriting department in charge of distribution channel and underwriting of all lines of business. In 2009, she was an Underwriting Manager at Cambodian Vietnam Insurance (CVI) where she has gained additional experience in underwriting specifically inclusive of aviation insurance, inwards and outwards reinsurance, and new product development. She rejoined Forte in 2015, where she has held management roles in Financial Lines & Marine department and later in Claims department for non-Accident & Health products.
Monea is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute in UK where she is currently holding professional status of ACII and Chartered Insurer. She has attained Master of Business Administration (Finance) from Paññasastra University of Cambodia (PUC) and two bachelor degrees - a BA in Translation and Interpreting from Institute of Foreign Languages (IFL) and Bachelor of Business Administration (Management) from National University of Management (NUM), Cambodia.
Thorng Sras is Assistant Vice President - Head of Direct Sales department at Forte General Insurance. Sras has over 15 years’ experience in social and sales mechanism & strategy development. Driven by high personal commitment, he takes pride in contributing to the success of the company by building a strong team to enhance business development. His mission is to maintain Forte’s standing as a market leader by developing a professional sales and customer service team to provide comprehensive insurance packages and services that meet customer expectations.
In addition to his primary job functions, Sras has been recognized as a good team player and a supportive leader who always prioritizes staff welfare and development.
Sras holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economic Development from Cambodian Mekong University.
Prach Piseth is Head of Corporate Relationships and Brokers department at Forte General Insurance. Piseth joined Forte in 2007 and is currently responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with brokers, global reinsurers, clients, staff, stakeholders and finding creative ways to expand the business. Prior to joining Forte, he interned at UNDP Cambodia and was a sales executive in the construction industry.
Piseth is a Senior Associate - Certified Insurance Professional (CIP) member of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF). He holds a Bachelor’s in Economics and MBA in Finance, as well as an Associateship (AMII) by Malaysian Insurance Institute.
Sipha Yan is Head of Bancassurance and Agency Management department at Forte General Insurance. Sipha is responsible for overall strategic planning and running the day-to-day business with Forte’s banking partners and corporate agencies. He joined Forte in 2008 and gained experience as an underwriter on property, auto and casualty insurance as well as handling business with intermediaries.
Sipha holds a Bachelor’s in Informatics Economics from the Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE).
Mr Dara, the Head of Regional, brings a wealth of experience to the insurance industry. Mr Dara is responsible for overseeing all operation, developing and implementing strategic plan for provincial branches and standby team at Forte. He joined Forte in 2014 as a Senior Officer in the Specialist Line Department, where he played a key role in claim management, underwriting, and product development.
Mr Dara is a member of The Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII). He holds the Professional Certificate of General Insurance of Underwriting (PCGIU) from Malaysia. In addition to his insurance expertise, he holds a Diploma of Doctor of Medicine from the University of Health Science, as well as a Bachelor of Medical Sciences from the same institution. He has also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Asia Euro University.
